Agility & Fast On The Flat

Turn Energy Into Agility!

Service Description

Agility – Fun for Dogs & Handlers

Most dogs enjoy agility training. It is both a physical and mental outlet. As your dog learns to negotiate a variety of obstacles….A-Frame, Dog Walk, Weave Poles, tunnels, See Saw, and a variety of jumps, you will build a stronger bond with your dog while having fun together.

Agility is a very technical sport – partly why it is so addicting….it is harder than it looks! Decisions are made in split seconds, thus, you need a very clear communication system between you and your dog.

We spend time honing foundation skills and gradually introduce new challenges as we go. We will work to build a team that can safely run a novice agility course together.

This class is designed for people who want to share the fun of agility with their dog, and may or may not be planning to enter a serious competitive event. It is suitable for anyone exploring what agility is all about.

Participating dogs should have basic training in polite manners and must not be aggressive to other dogs or people.

Please contact the instructor if you have questions as to whether or not your dog is ready for this class. A vet-check prior to the start of class is also recommended.

Pre-Agility – Foundation Skills & Introduction to Obstacles

Level 1 – Beginning sequencing of obstacles

Level 2 – Short courses and intro to more advanced handling skills

Level 3 – Refining handling skills and practice on a variety of full courses

Class is held outdoors in a fenced grass ring May through October, Indoors November through April

Fast on the Flat is a modified agility game. We only use tunnels, hoops, and barrels for the course.

This is a great option for senior dogs, puppies, dogs that need to build confidence, dogs that should avoid jumps or contact obstacles, or handlers that want more practice with handling skills.

As this is a division of Wag it Games, teams can earn titles at the Novice, Skilled, and Proficient levels.

Not only is agility about speed and accuracy, but it also gives dogs and handlers a clearer communication system.
