Winter has definitely arrived!
But all the frigid and icy conditions have made it hard to enjoy. I am grateful to have our little training studio to share. It's not just about the physical exercise - though that is huge - it's the mental enrichment that makes a big difference. When dogs use their brains to learn a new trick or navigate a course, they often end up more tired and satisfied than they would after a long, freezing walk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below is our schedule of classes that begin this month. Please join us!

Intermediate Dog Training/CGC
This class picks up where the Beginner Dog Training class left off. Practicing previously learned exercises with more distance and distractions helps to solidify great habits. We will practice the requirements for passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, as well as games that help to improve off-leash responses, impulse control, loose leash heeling, rock solid stays, distance skills, recalls, and any special requests of participants. The goals of this class are to improve our dogs' manners, improve our relationship with our dog, and how to use reinforcement training most effectively - including how to best wean your dog off dependence on treats. The AKC Canine Good Citizen test will be administered during the last class.
6 Weeks - Mondays @ 6:45pm - Jan 12, 19, 26 & Feb 2, 9, 16
